Undetected.ai privacy policy

The short version

Your text is never stored or used to train models. When you humanize a piece of writing, we process it to produce your rewrite and then discard it. We collect only the account and usage data we need to run the service, and we never sell your data.

What this policy covers

This policy explains what we collect when you visit undetected.ai, sign up, and use the AI humanizer to rewrite text so it reads natural and clears detectors such as GPTZero, Turnitin, Originality.ai, Copyleaks and ZeroGPT. By using the service you agree to the practices described here.

The text you humanize

The most important point: the text you paste in to humanize is never stored after your rewrite is produced, and it is never used to train models. We process your text in order to generate the humanized output you asked for, return that output to you, and then discard the input. We do not keep a copy of your drafts, we do not share them with third parties for their own purposes, and we do not use them to improve detection or training datasets.

Information we collect

• Account information. The email address you provide when you sign up, used to confirm your account, deliver your verification code and contact you about the service.
• Usage data. Aggregate, non-content information such as how many words you have humanized in a billing period, so we can apply your plan limits. This counts volume, not the content itself.
• Technical data. Standard log information such as IP address, browser type and the page or campaign you arrived from, used for security, fraud prevention and understanding which channels bring people to the site.
• Messages you send us. If you contact us, we keep your name, email and message so we can respond.

How we use your information

• To provide the humanizer and return your rewritten text.
• To create and secure your account and verify your email.
• To apply your plan's monthly word volume and process billing in US dollars.
• To respond to support and sales messages.
• To protect the service from abuse, fraud and security threats.
• To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it.

Detector names

We refer to GPTZero, Turnitin, Originality.ai, Copyleaks and ZeroGPT to describe compatibility, that is, that our rewrites are tuned to read as human to those tools. These names are used nominatively and do not imply any partnership, endorsement or affiliation.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate the platform, such as our email delivery and payment processors, and only to the extent they need it to perform their function. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users.

Data retention

Text you humanize is discarded after processing. Account information is kept for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to meet legal, accounting and security obligations. You can ask us to delete your account data at any time.

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe and to limit what we collect in the first place.

Your choices and rights

You can access, correct or delete your account information, and you can opt out of non-essential email. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal data. To exercise any of these, email us and we will help.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. When we make material changes we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
