HIX Bypass Refund Needs Both Three Days and Under 1,500 Words

Cancelling stops the next renewal but refunds nothing. A HIX Bypass refund needs three days and under 1,500 words used, and annual bills the year up front.

0 / 200 words

That is more than 200 words, which is what a run without an account takes at once. Trim it, or it will stop at the limit on the next page.

No sign-up to see your result. 2 free runs a day, up to 200 words each.

Cancelling HIX Bypass stops the next renewal but does not give you money back. A refund is a separate request to support, and it only succeeds if you ask within three days of the original purchase and have used under 1,500 words in that time. Both conditions apply at once. The expensive case is the annual plan: it is billed up front at $119.88, $179.88 or $180, so once those three days pass, the whole year is spent regardless of whether you ever paste anything again. Check also that you are cancelling the right product, because HIX Bypass and HIX.AI are separate subscriptions and cancelling one leaves the other billing.

Every policy line quoted below was read first-party on hixbypass.com and its refund policy page on September 16, 2026. Prices and terms in this category move, so check the dates against what you see today before you rely on any of it.

What is the HIX Bypass refund policy?

Two conditions have to be true at the same time, and the second one is the one that catches people. On time, the policy reads: "The refund request must be made within three (3) days of the original Contract purchase." On usage, in the same section: "Within this period, your word usage should not exceed 1,500 words."

Read those together and the practical window is much narrower than three days. Fifteen hundred words is roughly three pages. On the Standard plan, which gives you 5,000 words a month, that is 30 percent of everything you are paying for. So a real evaluation, running two or three genuine documents through to see whether the output holds up under your own reading, will very likely burn the refund right before the clock does.

Three more clauses matter and are easy to miss:

ClauseWhat it means when you ask
"Refunds are not automatically processed"Cancelling in the dashboard does not trigger one. You have to contact support and ask.
Refunds "only apply to your current subscription"No refunds for previous months' charges or extras added to the account.
Not available if "you have utilized your account within the same calendar month"Using the tool at all in the month you ask disqualifies you, unless you are still inside the three-day window.
Support "aims to respond to all refund requests within 2 business days"A weekend request can eat most of the three-day window before anyone reads it.

That last row is worth planning around. If you buy on a Friday and decide on Sunday, a two business day response time means the reply may land after day three. Send the request the moment you decide rather than when it is convenient.

How do I cancel my HIX Bypass subscription?

Cancellation and refund are two different actions, and doing the first does not start the second. Cancelling switches off auto-renewal so the subscription lapses at the end of the period you have already paid for. You keep access until that date. No money comes back.

The route runs through your account settings, in the billing section, where subscriptions are managed. We could not verify the exact click path first-party because it sits behind a paid login and we do not hold a HIX Bypass subscription, so treat any step-by-step you find elsewhere with mild suspicion, including ours. What we can tell you from the published policy is the part that actually matters: if the in-app option is not where you expect it, the refund policy itself directs you to contact support, and a written cancellation request to support creates a timestamp you can point at later. That timestamp is worth more than a tidy click path if the charge is disputed.

Cancel a few days before the renewal date rather than on it. Payment processors run renewals in their own time zone and a same-day cancellation sometimes lands after the charge has already been authorized, at which point you are arguing about a refund instead of preventing a payment.

Why was I charged after cancelling HIX Bypass?

Almost always one of three reasons, in descending order of how often it happens.

You cancelled the wrong product. HIX Bypass is sold on its own at hixbypass.com with its own three tiers. HIX.AI is the larger writing suite from the same company with its own separate plans and its own billing. They are not one subscription. If you signed up through the suite and cancelled there, or the reverse, the other one keeps renewing. Check both dashboards, and check the descriptor on the card statement, because they do not read identically.

You cancelled after the renewal was authorized. Cancellation stops the following cycle, not the one that just started. If the charge has already gone through, you are in refund territory, and the three-day clock runs from the original purchase rather than from this month's renewal, so it has long since closed.

You were looking at the old domain. The product used to live at bypass.hix.ai, which now sends a permanent redirect to hixbypass.com. Most third-party reviews still link to the old address. That does not break your billing, but it does mean people end up on pages that look slightly different from the ones they remember and conclude their account has vanished.

An annual renewal is the one that genuinely blindsides people, because it arrives eleven months after you last thought about it and lands as a three-figure charge rather than a small one. That is exactly the kind of quiet recurring line a recurring spend alert exists to flag before the money leaves, rather than after.

Is the annual HIX Bypass plan refundable?

Under the same three-day, 1,500-word rule as everything else, which is why it deserves its own warning. The annual tiers bill the full year up front: $119.88 for Standard, $179.88 for Premium and $180 for Unlimited. There is no monthly proration on exit and no partial-year refund in the published policy.

So the decision you are making when you click annual is not "$9.99 a month". It is "$119.88 now, with three days and 1,500 words to change my mind." Those are very different commitments, and the pricing page presents the first one. If you are not already sure the tool works on your writing, buy a month, test it properly without the refund clock hanging over you, and switch to annual later once you know.

The irony of the annual ladder is worth knowing before you commit to any of it. On yearly billing, Premium costs $14.99 a month and Unlimited costs $15.00: one cent apart. Premium caps you at 50,000 words a month and refuses any single paste over 3,000 words, while Unlimited carries neither limit. We worked through the whole ladder in our HIX Bypass review and pricing breakdown, including why the cheapest plan is the dearest text on the page at $2.00 per 1,000 words.

Should I cancel HIX Bypass or just downgrade?

Downgrading is the better move if the tool works for you and the bill is the only problem, because it keeps your account and history intact and takes effect at the next cycle without any support conversation. Cancelling is the right move if the output is the problem, and in that case the sooner you do it the better, since every day you leave it is another day closer to a renewal you did not intend.

If you are cancelling because the rewrites are not holding up, the thing to check on whatever you try next is not the marketing claim but whether the tool will tell you what it changed. Most humanizers hand back a block of text and a reassuring score with nothing underneath it, so you have no way to judge the rewrite except by reading it yourself and hoping. Undetected.ai reports our own AI-pattern score before and after with the reason for each point it gives back, and our plans start at $24 a month billed yearly for 100,000 words. That costs more than HIX Standard, and it buys twenty times Standard's 5,000-word allowance. Our per-run cap is 1,500 words against HIX's 3,000, so if single long pastes are your main requirement, HIX genuinely handles those in one pass and we do not. You can compare the plans and word allowances before deciding either way.

What to do before you ask for the refund

Four things, in this order, and they take about ten minutes.

Check your purchase date against today. If you are past day three, the published policy does not give you a route, and the honest answer is that a polite request to support is goodwill rather than entitlement. Ask anyway if the amount justifies it, but do not build a plan around it.

Check your word usage in the dashboard. Under 1,500 and inside three days is the only combination that meets the policy on its face. Say the number in your request, because it is the condition they will check first.

Cancel auto-renewal before you write. If the refund is declined you at least stop the next charge, and cancelling first removes any argument about whether you intended to continue.

Write to support with the account email, the purchase date, the amount, the plan name and your word usage, and keep the reply. The policy says responses aim to land within two business days, so send it and check back rather than waiting on a notification.

The same mechanics differ from vendor to vendor in ways that cost real money, and the differences are never on the pricing page. Undetectable.ai, for example, refunds credits rather than payments and expires your unused credits the moment cancellation goes through, which we covered in our breakdown of the Undetectable AI refund and cancellation terms. Read the refund policy before you buy in this category, not after. It is usually the shortest page on the site and the only one that tells you what happens when the tool does not work out.
