HIX Bypass review of pricing, word caps and the one cent that decides the plan

HIX Bypass sells three plans. On yearly billing the top two are a single cent apart, and the cheaper of those two is the one with both a monthly ceiling and a paste ceiling. Here is the full ladder, dated, plus the per-word math that makes the entry plan the worst buy on it.

The short answer

HIX Bypass is a web AI humanizer with an API, priced at $14.99, $29.99 or $59.99 a month in USD, or $9.99, $14.99 and $15.00 a month billed yearly. The yearly column is the whole decision. Premium lands on $14.99 and Unlimited on $15.00, one cent apart, but Premium caps you at 50,000 words a month and refuses any single paste over 3,000 words, while Unlimited carries neither limit. For a penny, the top tier removes both ceilings. The entry plan runs the other way: $9.99 a month for 5,000 words is $2.00 per 1,000 words, roughly seven times Premium's $0.30, which makes the cheapest sticker price the dearest text in the ladder. Refunds need a request inside three days and under 1,500 words used, both at once.

Every price below was read on hixbypass.com through two independent channels on September 16, 2026, US geo, and reproduced a third time on the vendor's homepage. Currency is not inferred: the string USD is printed on the pricing card beside every figure. Note that bypass.hix.ai now redirects to hixbypass.com, so older reviews link to a moved page.

The ladder

HIX Bypass pricing, with both ceilings shown side by side

Three tiers, two of which share the same paste limit, and two yearly prices a cent apart. Every figure read September 16, 2026.

Plan Monthly Yearly Billed up front Words a month Per paste Cost per 1,000 words
Standard $14.99/mo $9.99/mo $119.88/yr 5,000 words/month 3,000 words $2.00 per 1,000 words
Premium $29.99/mo $14.99/mo $179.88/yr 50,000 words/month 3,000 words $0.30 per 1,000 words
Unlimited $59.99/mo $15.00/mo $180/yr Unlimited Unlimited No per-word figure applies

Cost per 1,000 words uses the yearly price divided by the monthly allowance. Unlimited has no allowance to divide by, so no per-word figure applies to it.

The one thing to know

Yearly Premium costs $14.99. Yearly Unlimited costs $15.00.

That is the entire comparison, and it is the reason this page exists. One cent a month separates the two upper tiers on annual billing, which works out at twelve cents a year. For that twelve cents, Unlimited drops the 50,000 word monthly ceiling and drops the 3,000 word per-paste ceiling that Premium shares with the entry plan.

There is no feature Premium holds that Unlimited lacks. The vendor lists the same processing modes, the same multilingual support, the same tone controls and the same error correction across all three tiers. The difference between them is volume and paste length, and Unlimited wins both for a rounding error.

The practical read: if you have decided to pay HIX Bypass annually, the only two plans worth weighing are Standard at $9.99 and Unlimited at $15.00. Premium at $14.99 is a plan you would only land on by scanning the middle column and assuming the prices step up evenly. They do not.

Monthly billing behaves normally, for what it is worth. There the three tiers are $14.99, $29.99 and $59.99, and the ladder rises the way you would expect. The compression is purely an artefact of uneven annual discounts: Standard is discounted about 33 percent, Premium 50 percent, and Unlimited 75 percent.

The plan most people click

Why the $9.99 plan is the dearest text on the page

Standard is the plan a price-sorted comparison puts first, and per word it is the worst value HIX Bypass sells. Nine dollars ninety-nine for 5,000 words a month is $2.00 per 1,000 words. Premium, at fifty dollars more a year, is $0.30 per 1,000. The entry tier is 6.7 times the per-word cost of the tier above it.

That pattern is not unique to HIX. Cheap humanizer tiers are usually priced to look affordable rather than to be used, and the allowance is what gets cut to make the sticker work. What makes HIX's version sharper than most is that the paste ceiling does not move either, so the upgrade path from Standard to Premium buys you ten times the volume and exactly zero extra document length.

Five thousand words a month is around four short blog posts, or one chapter. If you write more than that, Standard will run dry inside a fortnight and you will be looking at the upgrade screen anyway, having paid $2.00 per 1,000 words for the privilege. Our own breakdown of what the cheapest AI humanizer actually costs per word found the same inversion across the whole category: the second-cheapest sticker price in the market is one of the dearest per word.

The cap people search for

The 3,000 word input limit, and who it stops

HIX Bypass prints an input limit of 3,000 words per submission on both Standard and Premium. It is the number that decides whether your document goes through in one piece, and it is independent of how many words your plan allows you in total.

Three thousand words covers most essays and almost every blog post. It does not cover a dissertation chapter, a long report, or a whitepaper. Above that line you are splitting the document by hand, running each part separately, and then stitching the output back together, which is where tone drifts between sections and where a reader notices the seams.

To be fair to HIX, 3,000 words is at the generous end for this category. Humbot caps entry submissions at 500 words. Our own runs cap at 1,500 words on every plan, which is half of HIX's allowance, and that is a real point in HIX's favour if long single pastes are your main requirement. The honest summary is that HIX Bypass handles longer single documents than we do, and charges more per month at the entry tier to do it.

Before you pay

The refund window closes faster than it reads

Two conditions apply at the same time, and both are quoted from the vendor's own refund policy read on September 16, 2026. The first is time: "The refund request must be made within three (3) days of the original Contract purchase." The second is usage: "Within this period, your word usage should not exceed 1,500 words."

On the Standard plan, 1,500 words is 30 percent of everything the plan gives you for the month. So a genuine evaluation, running a few real documents through to see whether the output holds up, will very likely cost you the refund before the three days are up. The policy also states that refunds "are not automatically processed" and must be requested by contacting support, and that they apply only to the current subscription rather than to any previous month's charges.

None of that is unusual in this category, and it is published rather than hidden, which is more than several rivals manage. It does mean the trial has to do the evaluating, because the paid month effectively cannot.

Rows are not strictly comparable and we are not pretending otherwise: some vendors publish a per-run cap and some do not, and allowances count different things. The column that travels best is entry price against entry allowance.

Buy it, or do not

Who HIX Bypass is actually the right buy for

Buy Unlimited yearly at $15.00 if you paste long documents. Uncapped input at that price is rare, the API is a genuine advantage over most humanizers in this bracket, and at $180 committed up front it is a defensible annual spend for anyone whose work regularly runs past 3,000 words in one piece. This is the one configuration where HIX Bypass is straightforwardly good.

Do not buy Premium yearly. It costs a cent less than Unlimited and gives you strictly less of everything. There is no scenario in which it is the correct choice on annual billing.

Think twice about Standard. At $2.00 per 1,000 words it is the most expensive text in its own ladder, and 5,000 words a month is thin for anyone publishing regularly. If budget is the binding constraint, the entry tiers around $5 elsewhere give you more words for less money, though several of them cap single pastes harder than HIX does.

For our part, we sell three plans starting at $24 a month billed yearly for 100,000 words. That costs more than Standard to start, but it is twenty times Standard's allowance, at $0.24 per 1,000 words against $2.00. HIX Unlimited at $15.00 is still the cheaper way to get uncapped volume. The trade is document length: our runs cap at 1,500 words against HIX's 3,000, so if your typical job is a single long chapter rather than a steady stream of shorter pieces, HIX handles it in one pass and we do not. That is the real dividing line between the two tools, and it is worth being clear about it rather than claiming we win everywhere. You can compare our plans and word allowances against the table above.

Frequently asked

HIX Bypass questions people actually search

How much does HIX Bypass cost?

HIX Bypass costs $14.99, $29.99 or $59.99 a month in USD, or $9.99, $14.99 and $15.00 a month billed yearly, charged as $119.88, $179.88 and $180 up front. Standard gives 5,000 words a month, Premium 50,000 and Unlimited has no monthly cap. Every figure was read on hixbypass.com/pricing on September 16, 2026.

Which HIX Bypass plan is best value?

Unlimited on yearly billing, by one cent. Yearly Premium is $14.99 a month and yearly Unlimited is $15.00, but Premium stops at 50,000 words and holds a 3,000 word per-input cap, while Unlimited has neither limit. For a penny a month the tier above removes both ceilings, so there is no case for buying yearly Premium.

Does HIX Bypass have a word limit?

Yes, two separate ones. There is a monthly allowance of 5,000 words on Standard and 50,000 on Premium, and there is a per-input cap of 3,000 words on both of those tiers. Only Unlimited removes them. A 4,000 word chapter cannot go through as a single paste on Standard or Premium no matter which of the two you pay for.

Is HIX Bypass free?

No. HIX Bypass is a paid subscription and the site offers a trial to test it rather than a free tier. Their own page states it "offers a free trial that allows users to test its capabilities without any commitment", but the published plans all carry a monthly price and the word allowances above.

Can you get a refund from HIX Bypass?

Only inside a narrow window, and two conditions apply at once. Their refund policy says "The refund request must be made within three (3) days of the original Contract purchase" and adds "Within this period, your word usage should not exceed 1,500 words". On the 5,000 word Standard plan that is 30 percent of one month gone before the refund right lapses.

Does HIX Bypass have an API?

Yes. The site publishes a HIX Bypass API described as something that "can be easily integrated into your own systems", which puts it ahead of several humanizers in this price range that offer no developer surface at all. Pricing for API access is handled separately from the three subscription tiers listed here.

Is HIX Bypass worth it compared to cheaper humanizers?

At $15.00 a month yearly for Unlimited it is genuinely strong, because uncapped input and uncapped volume are rare at that price. At $9.99 for Standard it is poor value: 5,000 words a month works out at $2.00 per 1,000 words, which is the dearest per-word rate in its own ladder and is beaten by entry tiers around $5 elsewhere. Buy the top tier or buy elsewhere.

What is the difference between HIX Bypass and HIX.AI?

HIX Bypass is the humanizer, sold on its own at hixbypass.com with the three tiers above. HIX.AI is the larger writing suite from the same company, with its own separate plans. Buying one does not give you the other, so check which product a price you have found actually belongs to before you subscribe.
