The short answer
Monica is an all-in-one AI assistant, and the humanizer is one tool inside it. Plans cost $9.90, $24.90 or $99.90 a month, or $99, $199 and $995 a year. Each plan comes with a monthly pot of Advanced Credits (1,500, 4,500 or 20,000), and humanizing costs 1 credit per 10 words, so the ceilings are 15,000, 45,000 and 200,000 words a month. That works out to $0.37 to $0.66 per 1,000 words, against $0.24 on our Starter billed yearly. Monica wins if you want chat, images and translation in the same subscription. If rewriting AI drafts is the job you are paying for, a dedicated humanizer gives you more words for the money.

The "Flash Sale 33%" badge on Max deserves a second look. The struck price is $299 a year, and Max billed monthly is $24.90, which is $298.80 over twelve months. So the "sale" is the ordinary saving for paying a year up front, the same thing Pro and Ultra call "Save 17% with annual billing". Nothing in the page gives the sale an end date. Buy Max yearly if the numbers work, but not because of the badge.
The free plan gives 40 uses of basic models a day and a limited trial of the rest. It has no Advanced Credits, and the humanizer is priced in Advanced Credits inside Monica. In practice the free route is the public web page, whose box stops at 250 words. That is enough to test a paragraph and not enough to finish an essay or a client article. How the meter works
One pot of credits for the humanizer and everything else
Inside Monica, the Humanize button carries a tooltip: "Every 10 words costs 1 Advanced Credits". A 1,500-word essay therefore costs 150 credits, a tenth of the Pro allowance. Ten essays and Pro is empty for the month.
The same Advanced Credits pay for the other premium tools on Monica's pricing table. Every credit you spend on an image, a long document or an advanced model is a credit you cannot spend on humanizing. That is why the word figures on this page are ceilings, not allowances.
The pot also refills on the calendar, not on your billing date. Monica's help center says member quota resets "at 0:00 UTC on the 1st of each month". Subscribe on the 25th and your first allowance has to last about a week.

Every Monica credit spent on the humanizer. Spend any on other tools and Monica's bars get longer.
The cheapest Monica rate is Max billed yearly at about $0.37 per 1,000 words. Ultra is slightly dearer per word than Max, because its price rises faster than its credits. Our Starter billed yearly is $0.24 per 1,000 words for 100,000 words a month, and those words are not drawn from the same pot as anything else.
Where Monica is the better buy is the size of the bill. $8.30 a month is about a third of our Starter, and for that you also get chat with several AI models, translation, PDF chat and a browser extension. If you humanize a few thousand words a month and use the rest of the assistant daily, Monica Pro is good value and we would not talk you out of it. Past roughly 15,000 words a month, you are paying for Max or Ultra mostly to get humanizer credits.

Two lines matter most for a humanizer buyer. First, renewals happen "at the then-current pricing", and the pricing FAQ says the Max and Ultra plans may change with costs from the model providers Monica resells. A yearly price is safe for the year you paid; the renewal is not promised. Second, there is no money-back window for US buyers. If the humanizer's output is not what you hoped for, the terms leave a refund to Monica's discretion, so test on the free 250-word box before committing to a year.
There is also recent history. In August 2026 Monica's help center announced that Butterfly Effect, the company behind Monica and Manus, "will soon resume operating as an independent company". For users in affected regions, data created since December 29, 2025 was deleted on August 23, 2026, and some subscriptions were cancelled or refunded. Monica says it is "not shutting down". How many words can I humanize with Monica Pro?
Up to 15,000 words a month. Pro includes 1,500 Advanced Credits, and Monica charges 1 credit for every 10 words humanized. That ceiling assumes you spend no credits on anything else, because the same Advanced Credits pay for other premium features listed on Monica's pricing table.
Is Monica AI legit?
Yes. Monica is a real, paid AI assistant from Butterfly Effect Pte. Ltd., the company that also made Manus, with published prices and terms last updated December 1, 2025. In August 2026 it deleted data and cancelled some subscriptions for users in affected regions during a corporate separation, but its help center says Monica is not shutting down.
Does Monica AI give refunds?
Not as a rule. Monica's terms say payments for subscriptions and credits are final and non-refundable, with partial refunds considered at its sole discretion. Users in the EU, UK and Turkey can withdraw within 14 days. Cancelling stops the next renewal but does not refund the current period.
When do Monica credits reset?
At 0:00 UTC on the 1st of each month, according to Monica's help center, not 30 days after you pay. If you subscribe on the 25th, your first allowance has to last about a week before it refills. Unused member credits are not described as rolling over.
Is Monica cheaper than Undetected.ai?
