Cheapest AI Humanizer With Every Plan Priced Per 1,000 Words
The lowest sticker price is $4.99 a month. The lowest price per word belongs to a plan that costs three times that, and the third-cheapest plan is the dearest per word.

The cheapest AI humanizer depends on which question you are actually asking. On sticker price, Humanize AI is lowest at $4.99 a month billed annually, with Undetectable.ai a cent behind at $5.00. On price per 1,000 words, both of those are beaten by plans that cost more per month: Rewritify's Ultimate tier works out at $0.32 per 1,000 words and Humbot's Pro tier at $0.29, against $0.50 at the bottom of the ladder. And the third-cheapest sticker price in the table, Humbot Basic at $7.99, is the most expensive plan per word in it at $2.00 per 1,000. Every figure below was read on the vendor's own pricing page, in USD, on the date printed next to it.
Price comparisons in this category are unusually slippery, for two reasons. Almost every vendor advertises the annual price in large type and charges the monthly price by default, and almost every vendor meters something different: words a month, words per paste, requests, credits, or nothing at all. So a list of headline prices tells you very little. What follows normalizes them.
What is the cheapest AI humanizer?
There are three defensible answers, and which one is right for you is decided by how much you write in a month, not by the price cards.
| If you mean | The answer | What it costs |
|---|---|---|
| Lowest monthly price | Humanize AI (Lite) | $4.99/mo billed annually, 10,000 words |
| Lowest price per word, metered | GPTHuman (Plus) | $14/mo billed yearly, 60,000 words |
| Lowest price with no word ceiling | Humbot or Bypass AI (Unlimited) | $9.99/mo billed annually |
If you write under about 10,000 words a month, the sticker price is the right thing to shop on and the answer is Humanize AI or Undetectable.ai. Above that, the sticker price actively misleads you, because the cheap plans run out and the mid plans cost less per word than the cheap ones do.
Every paid entry plan priced per 1,000 words
This is the comparison that makes the ladder legible. Each row takes the vendor's published monthly word allowance and divides the annual-billing price by it. Rows are ordered by price per 1,000 words, cheapest first.
| Plan | Price (annual billing) | Words a month | Per 1,000 words | Read |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| GPTHuman Plus | $14.00/mo | 60,000 | $0.23 | Oct 1, 2026 |
| Humbot Pro | $9.99/mo | 30,000 basic + 5,000 advanced | $0.29 | Sep 21, 2026 |
| Rewritify Ultimate | $16.00/mo | 50,000 | $0.32 | Sep 9, 2026 |
| GPTHuman Starter | $8.25/mo | 25,000 | $0.33 | Oct 1, 2026 |
| Bypass AI Pro | $9.99/mo | 30,000 | $0.33 | Oct 2, 2026 |
| AuraWrite Business | $19.99/mo | 60,000 | $0.33 | Oct 5, 2026 |
| Undetectable.ai (top tier) | $21.25/mo | 50,000 | $0.43 | Sep 8, 2026 |
| Undetectable.ai (entry) | $5.00/mo | 10,000 | $0.50 | Sep 8, 2026 |
| Humanize AI (Lite) | $4.99/mo | 10,000 | $0.50 | Aug 30, 2026 |
| GPTinf Pro | $12.49/mo | 25,000 | $0.50 | Oct 7, 2026 |
| WriteHybrid Agency | $83.00/mo | 150,000 | $0.55 | Oct 7, 2026 |
| AuraWrite Basic | $3.99/mo | 5,000 | $0.80 | Oct 5, 2026 |
| WriteHybrid Starter | $16.00/mo | 20,000 | $0.80 | Oct 7, 2026 |
| TwainGPT (Verva) Premium | $20.00/mo | 30,000 | $0.67 | Oct 2, 2026 |
| Hastewire Basic | $6.67/mo ($5.00 on a 25% promotion) | 7,500 | $0.89 ($0.67) | Oct 1, 2026 |
| TwainGPT (Verva) Basic | $8.00/mo | 8,000 | $1.00 | Oct 2, 2026 |
| GPTinf Lite | $4.99/mo | 5,000 | $1.00 | Oct 7, 2026 |
| Rewritify Basic | $9.00/mo | 5,000 | $1.80 | Sep 9, 2026 |
| Humbot Basic | $7.99/mo | 3,000 basic + 1,000 advanced | $2.00 | Sep 21, 2026 |
| Bypass AI Basic | $6.99/mo | 3,000 | $2.33 | Oct 2, 2026 |
| QuillBot Premium | $8.33/mo | No word cap published | Not computable | Aug 10, 2026 |
| StealthWriter Starter | $16.67/mo ($200/yr) | Metered in runs, 50 a day | Not computable | Sep 5, 2026 |
Two of those rows cannot be normalized honestly and are left blank rather than guessed at. QuillBot publishes no word cap for Premium, and StealthWriter meters daily runs instead of monthly words, so any per-word figure for either would be an assumption dressed up as a measurement.
The cheapest row per word now belongs to GPTHuman Plus, with a catch worth knowing before you pay: every GPTHuman pricing card lists a detector guarantee that its terms disclaim, and nothing is refundable. The GPTHuman AI review covers the plan limits and that clause. Hastewire sits at the other end, cheap to start and expensive per word, with rewrites capped at 500 words on Basic, as our Hastewire review works through. Bypass AI repeats Humbot's trick of pricing yearly Pro and Unlimited identically, so yearly Pro is never worth buying there (the BypassAI review has the full ladder), and TwainGPT, now renamed Verva, charges a dollar per 1,000 words on Basic, as the TwainGPT review sets out. AuraWrite's Basic plan looks cheap at $3.99 a month billed yearly but comes with its weaker humanizer, and its terms end your remaining usage the moment you cancel (see the AuraWrite AI review). Decopy AI is left out of this table because it sells no yearly plan; month to month its Premium Pro mode works out to $0.36 to $0.54 per 1,000 words, depending on which of its two published credit rates applies, as the Decopy AI humanizer review explains. GPTinf halves every price on its yearly tab, which puts Pro at $0.50 per 1,000 words, but refunds close 3 days after payment (see the GPTinf humanizer review), and WriteHybrid's terms are non-refundable with a refund policy link that returns 404, as our WriteHybrid review shows.
Why a cheap entry plan is the most expensive per word
Humbot Basic at $7.99 a month sits third from the bottom on price and at the very top on cost per word. The reason is the allowance: 3,000 basic words plus 1,000 advanced words, so 4,000 words a month in total. That is roughly two undergraduate essays. At $2.00 per 1,000 words it costs four times what Undetectable.ai charges per word on a plan that is $2.99 cheaper per month.
Rewritify Basic has the same shape. Nine dollars a month buys 5,000 words, which is $1.80 per 1,000, the second most expensive row in the table. Both plans exist to make the tier above them look reasonable, and on Rewritify the tier above is genuinely the better buy: $16 a month buys ten times the words for less than double the price. We went through that ladder in detail in the Rewritify AI review, including the fact that two of its three yearly plans land on the same $16.
The practical rule: before you compare prices, work out roughly how many words you actually run in a month. If the number is above about 8,000, every entry plan in this category is a false economy.
How much does an AI humanizer cost?
Entry plans run about $5 to $9 a month on annual billing and roughly $10 to $20 billed monthly. Plans with no word ceiling land between $9.99 and $49 a month annually. The spread on cost per word is far wider than the spread on price: from $0.29 to $2.00 per 1,000 words across the plans above, a factor of about seven.
Annual billing is where the discount actually lives
Nearly every "cheapest" figure quoted anywhere in this category, including most of the ones above, is an annual price. The gap between paying monthly and paying for the year is much larger here than in most software, and on one plan it is extreme.
| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed annually | Gap |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bypass AI Unlimited | $69.99/mo | $9.99/mo | 7x |
| Humbot Unlimited | $59.99/mo | $9.99/mo | 6x |
| Rewritify Unlimited | $49/mo | $16/mo | 3x |
| Undetectable.ai (entry) | $9.99/mo | $5.00/mo | 2x |
| Humbot Basic | $11.99/mo | $7.99/mo | 1.5x |
Humbot's Unlimited plan is $719.88 a year if you pay month to month and $119.88 if you pay up front, for the identical plan. That is the single widest monthly-to-annual gap we have measured in this category, and it means the advertised $9.99 is only real if you commit twelve months. The full tier breakdown is in the Humbot review, including the oddity that its Pro and Unlimited plans cost exactly the same annually while Pro gives you less.
So "cheapest" almost always carries an unstated condition: cheapest if you pay for a year today. That is a real cash-flow cost, and a real risk if the tool turns out not to suit your writing. If these subscriptions are going on a company card, it is worth keeping renewals and receipts in one place, because an annual charge you approved in September is easy to forget by the following August.
Is there a free AI humanizer?
Yes, and most of them are demos rather than plans. The free tiers attached to the paid tools are small by design: QuillBot caps its humanizer at 125 words and six uses a day, Humbot gives a limited monthly sample, and Undetectable.ai offers a 250-word trial. Several standalone sites advertise unlimited free humanizing with no sign-up, and they are genuinely free to use.
What you give up is worth knowing before you paste anything into one. Free tools rarely publish a retention policy, and text you submit is the product they are being paid for in some other way. If the document is a client deliverable, an unpublished manuscript or anything covered by an NDA, the price is not the relevant number. Free tiers are useful for one thing: judging whether a tool's output reads like you before you pay it anything.
Is a cheap AI humanizer worth it?
The failure mode of a cheap humanizer is not that it does nothing. It is that it raises a score by swapping ordinary words for unusual ones, and quietly edits your meaning while doing it. Specific numbers turn into vague adjectives, a hedged claim becomes an absolute one, and a citation ends up attached to the wrong sentence. That damage is invisible in a score and obvious to a reader.
The test costs nothing on any free tier. Paste a paragraph where the details matter, then read the output against the original and check that every number, name and qualifier survived. If the meaning drifted, the price per 1,000 words is irrelevant. If it held, you now know what you are buying, and the tables above tell you which plan buys it most cheaply at your volume.
Where we sit on this list
We are a humanizer too, which is why this page publishes the rows where rivals beat us rather than a ranking with us at the top. Undetected.ai is priced at $24 a month billed yearly for 100,000 words, which is $0.24 per 1,000 words, and the larger tiers go lower still ($0.10 per 1,000 on Scale). That makes us one of the more expensive tools on this list to start with: our entry plan costs several times the sticker price of Humanize AI, Undetectable.ai or Humbot Basic. What you get for the higher entry price is a far larger monthly allowance, so per word we come in below every metered row in the table above. If you write a few thousand words a month, a cheaper entry plan is the better buy. What our price buys is a score that explains what it measured rather than asking to be believed, and a rewrite built to keep your meaning intact.
If the lowest possible price is the deciding factor, the tables above name the plan, and we would rather tell you that than pretend otherwise. If you want the full field compared on retention, API access and output quality as well as price, that is the best AI humanizer comparison, and the cheapest established option is broken down tier by tier in our Undetectable AI pricing breakdown.
The short version
- Lowest monthly price: Humanize AI at $4.99, then Undetectable.ai at $5.00, both annual, both 10,000 words, both $0.50 per 1,000.
- Lowest cost per word: Humbot Pro at $0.29 per 1,000, then Rewritify Ultimate at $0.32.
- Worst value per word: the $7.99 and $9.00 entry plans, at $2.00 and $1.80 per 1,000.
- Check the billing period before you compare anything. One plan here is six times dearer month to month.
- Prices move constantly in this category. Every figure above carries the date we read it, and you should confirm on the vendor's page before you pay.
