TwainGPT is now called Verva, and it costs $10, $25 or $50 a month for its Basic, Premium and Ultimate plans, or $8, $20 and $40 a month billed yearly ($96, $240 and $480 a year). Basic gives 8,000 humanized words a month, Premium 30,000 and Ultimate an unlimited allowance with usage guardrails. Every sale is final under its terms, and cancelling is a few clicks in the billing portal. If you searched for TwainGPT, this is the same company and the same account under a new name.
We read all of that on verva.com on October 2, 2026: the pricing page (yearly cards in the page itself, monthly prices from the site's own configuration), the rebrand announcement, the terms of use revised August 10, 2026, and the help center. We sell a competing humanizer, so take this as a rival's buyer briefing with every figure sourced to Verva's own pages. Most of what ranks for TwainGPT today is software directories and other humanizer companies' blogs, several still written as if the TwainGPT name and site were current. The rebrand changes nothing about the price, but it matters for where you log in, which site you pay, and what you find when you check the contract.
TwainGPT pricing on every Verva plan
| Plan | Monthly | Yearly, per month | Yearly total | Humanizer words a month | AI detector uses | Essay generator uses |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $10 | $8 | $96 | 8,000 | 100 | 50 |
| Premium | $25 | $20 | $240 | 30,000 | 500 | 200 |
| Ultimate | $50 | $40 | $480 | Unlimited, with guardrails | Unlimited | Unlimited |
The yearly toggle says 20% off, and the arithmetic agrees on all three plans, which is rarer in this category than it should be. Premium is marked as the popular plan and adds priority support. Every plan lists "Watermark and Future Proof", which we come back to below. The pricing page shows no free plan; some third-party reviews mention a small free allowance, but nothing on the current pricing page offers one, so plan on paying from the first rewrite and use the one free retry per text that the help center describes when an output misses.
What a thousand words costs on TwainGPT
Divide each plan by its word allowance and the picture is clearer than the headline prices suggest:
| Plan | Per 1,000 words, monthly billing | Per 1,000 words, yearly billing |
|---|---|---|
| TwainGPT Basic | $1.25 | $1.00 |
| TwainGPT Premium | $0.83 | $0.67 |
| TwainGPT Ultimate | Depends entirely on how much you use | |
| Undetected.ai Starter | $0.49 | $0.24 |
Basic at a dollar or more per thousand words is expensive for what it is: 8,000 words is four 2,000-word essays a month. Premium is a fairer rate. For comparison, our Starter plan is $24 a month billed yearly for 100,000 words, so on a metered plan we are cheaper per word at every level. The honest exception is Ultimate. If you humanize well over 100,000 words a month and are sure you will keep doing it, $40 a month for an allowance with no published number beats any metered plan, ours included, as long as the guardrails never trip. Our Pro plan at $49 a month billed yearly gives 300,000 words, a published number you can plan around; Ultimate gives you no number at all. The cheapest AI humanizer ranking runs the same per-word arithmetic across every paid plan we have priced.
Is TwainGPT Ultimate really unlimited
Mostly, with an asterisk Verva is upfront about. Its help article on Ultimate says usage must follow the terms of use, which bar automated extraction, account sharing and reselling, and that Verva has "guardrails in place to help prevent misuse". It goes on to say this "may occasionally involve a temporary restriction on your usage", that you will be notified, and that access is restored if no violation is found.
For one person writing their own work, that is unlikely to bite. For an agency thinking of running client copy through one Ultimate seat, it matters twice over: account sharing is prohibited outright, and heavy use is exactly what the guardrails watch for. A restriction in the middle of a client deadline, with no published threshold to plan around, is the risk you are buying. Teams are better served by a plan that lists seats and a shared allowance in writing.
TwainGPT refund policy and how to cancel
Section 8 of the Verva terms leaves very little room:
All sales are final and non-refundable. By using our Services, you acknowledge and agree that fees paid are non-refundable. We do not provide refunds for any unused portion of the Services, if you cancel your account, if you are unsatisfied with the Services, or for any other reason.
Renewal charges are covered by the same rule, "except as required by applicable law". The help center is slightly softer: Verva "generally" does not refund but "may make exceptions in certain cases", and you can ask through the in-app messenger. Read that as permission to ask, not a promise. The practical consequence is that the $240 or $480 yearly payment should be treated as final the moment you make it.
Cancelling, on the other hand, is straightforward and self-serve. Click your profile picture in the top-right corner, go to Settings, then Billing, then Manage Billing. That opens the card-processor billing portal, where you click Cancel Subscription. The plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
Timing is the trap. Section 8.1(b) says that if you cancel after Verva has started processing the renewal payment, it can keep pursuing that cycle's fee, and the billing help article adds that a failed renewal followed by a late cancellation can leave the charge outstanding while your benefits stay paused. Cancel a few days before the renewal date, not on it. If you buy software for a team, this is the clause to put in a calendar; contract management software that tracks renewal dates exists for exactly this kind of auto-renewing commitment.
The TwainGPT rebrand and the look-alike site
Verva announced the change on August 12, 2026. Its post says the same company and team run the service, that accounts, subscriptions, saved documents and plan limits carry over unchanged, and that old TwainGPT links redirect to verva.com, which we confirmed: twaingpt.com and its pricing page both forward to Verva. The terms name the operator as Verva, LLC, a US company, under US and Delaware law with individual JAMS arbitration. That is a clearer, more domestic contract than several rivals we have reviewed, which name no company at all.
Two cautions follow from the rename. First, twaingpt.ai is a different site using the same name, so if you are searching for the old brand, check that you end up on verva.com before you enter a card. Second, many reviews you will find still describe "TwainGPT" with older prices or plan names. The table above is the current one.
The claims to treat carefully
Verva's help center says its humanizer is "designed to bypass Turnitin" and other major detectors, and that it removes "AI text watermarks used by Claude and other major AI providers". Its terms of use, the document you actually agree to, say nothing about detectors at all, neither a promise nor a refund if a detector flags your text, and every sale is final. So the bypass claim is marketing you cannot hold anyone to.
The watermark claim is harder still to test. There is no public tool that reads a text watermark in a document, so nobody, including Verva, can show you a mark before a rewrite and its absence after. Our ChatGPT watermark remover article goes through what each AI company has actually said about text watermarking. What flags written work in practice is a statistical detector reading predictability and rhythm, which is what any humanizer, Verva's or ours, is really working on.
We do not repeat any vendor's detector claims, our own included. Detectors change from month to month for every tool in this category. Test on your own text before you pay for a year.
Where TwainGPT is genuinely good
- Honest discount arithmetic. The 20% yearly saving is exactly 20% on every plan.
- Self-serve cancellation. A real cancel button in the billing portal, with access to the end of the period, which not every competitor offers.
- An identifiable US company with dated terms, a named LLC and a domestic dispute process.
- Ultimate for heavy solo users. $480 a year with no published word cap is very good value if your volume is high and steady.
- Language coverage. The help center lists more than 100 languages for both the humanizer and the detector.
Is TwainGPT worth it
For a heavy, individual user who is confident in their volume, Ultimate billed yearly is a strong price, provided you accept that nothing is refundable and the "unlimited" allowance can be paused if the guardrails flag you. Premium is a reasonable middle plan. Basic is the weak spot: a dollar or more per thousand words for an allowance that runs out after a few essays.
If you would rather pay for a published word count, see what a rewrite changed, and keep the option to stop month to month without losing a year's payment, compare it with our plans on the pricing page, or read how the wider field stacks up in the best AI humanizer comparison. Two other reviews cover tools with the same "unlimited plus non-refundable" shape: the GPTHuman AI review and the BypassAI review, where yearly Pro and Unlimited cost exactly the same.
TwainGPT questions buyers ask
How much is TwainGPT per month?
TwainGPT, now Verva, costs $10 a month for Basic, $25 for Premium and $50 for Ultimate on monthly billing. Billed yearly the same plans are $8, $20 and $40 a month, charged as $96, $240 and $480 once a year. Prices were read in US dollars on verva.com on October 2, 2026.
Is TwainGPT the same as Verva?
Yes. TwainGPT rebranded as Verva on August 12, 2026. Verva says it is the same company, team and service, your existing TwainGPT login works on verva.com, and subscriptions, saved documents and plan limits are unchanged. Old twaingpt.com links redirect to verva.com. The separate site twaingpt.ai is not the same service.
Does TwainGPT give refunds?
As a rule, no. Section 8 of the Verva terms says all sales are final and non-refundable, including renewals, for unused time, cancellation or dissatisfaction. The help center says Verva may make exceptions in some cases if you ask through the in-app messenger, but nothing obliges it to. Treat a yearly payment as final.
How do I cancel my TwainGPT subscription?
Click your profile picture in the top-right corner, then Settings, Billing and Manage Billing. That opens the billing portal, where you click Cancel Subscription. You keep the plan until the end of the paid period. Cancel a few days before renewal, because a cancellation after the renewal payment has started can still leave that cycle's fee owed.
Is TwainGPT legit?
It is a real, working product from an identifiable US company, Verva, LLC, with dated terms under Delaware law. Its detector-bypass and watermark-removal claims appear only in marketing and help pages, not in the contract, and every sale is final. Use it with those two facts in mind.
