To cancel WriteHuman, use My Account for a website purchase, the developer dashboard for an API plan, or Apple ID or Google Play settings for an app subscription. Canceling stops renewal and keeps paid access through the current billing period. The WriteHuman refund policy makes all payments non-refundable except where the law requires a refund. Cancel at least a day before renewal and save the confirmation.
This WriteHuman cancel subscription guide covers the terms dated October 13, 2026 and pricing as of October 24, 2026. Undetected.ai is a competing AI humanizer and cannot access your WriteHuman account or issue its refunds. Our WriteHuman review of pricing and request limits covers the product decision. If you still need a replacement, check Undetected.ai pricing and plan details while you finish closing the old subscription.

How do I cancel my WriteHuman subscription?
Cancel in the place where you purchased the plan. Website subscriptions use My Account, API subscriptions use the developer dashboard, and app subscriptions use Apple ID or Google Play settings. Complete cancellation before renewal, keep the confirmation, and check the access end date. WriteHuman cannot cancel app store subscriptions for you.
Cancel a subscription bought on the website
- Sign in to the WriteHuman account associated with your receipt.
- Open My Account and find the subscription management controls.
- Complete the cancellation process and check the resulting subscription status.
- Save the confirmation and the end date for paid access.
- If you cannot confirm the result, contact support@writehuman.ai with the account email and payment details.
Section 12 allows online cancellation at any time. The pricing page says Cancel anytime, no contracts, but that describes stopping future renewals. It does not make the current payment refundable. You can leave now without waiting for the final paid day.
Cancel an API plan or a Google Play purchase
For API billing, open the developer dashboard and cancel there. For an Android app purchase, use the subscription settings in the Google Play account that made the purchase. The WriteHuman AI cancel subscription route depends on the seller shown on the receipt, even if you use the same product on several devices.
Uninstalling the app or browser extension does not cancel billing. Neither does leaving the account unused. If a pause is offered, check its resume date before accepting it. Billing resumes automatically on that date unless you cancel, so a pause is a poor fit when you intend to leave permanently.
How do I cancel WriteHuman on iPhone?
For an Apple subscription, open iPhone Settings, tap your name, open Subscriptions and select WriteHuman to cancel. Turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the period ends. WriteHuman cannot cancel an Apple subscription for you. If you bought on the website, use My Account instead, even when writing on iPhone.
Check the Apple ID associated with the receipt if the subscription is missing. Any App Store refund request goes to Apple. Google handles Google Play refunds. WriteHuman's own support cannot replace either store's cancellation or refund process, so identify who collected the payment before sending a request.
Does WriteHuman give refunds?
WriteHuman says all payments are non-refundable except where the law requires a refund. Canceling does not create a refund entitlement, even if you have unused time or requests. App Store and Google Play refunds are handled only by Apple or Google. A refund granted once does not require WriteHuman to grant another.
The exclusions cover partial billing periods, unused time, unused words, requests, credits and top-ups, suspension, and periods you did not use. Downgrades do not produce a cash refund either. There is no stated refund window for trying a paid plan and deciding that its output is not worth keeping.
If you believe a charge is wrong or a legal refund right applies, email support@writehuman.ai. Include the account email, payment date, amount and receipt, explain the problem, and state what resolution you are requesting. Ask for cancellation separately if renewal is still active. Keep the sent message with your payment record.
A freelancer or business should also keep the WriteHuman Stripe receipt for bookkeeping. You can scan the receipt into QuickBooks alongside the cancellation confirmation so the expense record remains available after leaving. The pricing page identifies Stripe as its secure payment provider; check the receipt to distinguish a website payment from an app store purchase.
What happens after I cancel WriteHuman?
Your paid access continues until the current billing period ends, then the account moves to the free plan. You can reactivate before the period ends if you change your mind. Cancellation stops the next renewal but does not refund the current period. Keep the confirmation and check the stated end date.
The free plan allows 3 requests a month with up to 250 words per request. That is the allowance to plan around after paid access ends. Save any working material you need and decide whether the free limits cover occasional edits before buying another subscription.
Website plans renew monthly or annually, app plans weekly or monthly, and API plans monthly. Section 11 says renewal happens at the start of each period at the then-current price until cancellation. Do not rely on a failed payment to end the subscription. Payments can be retried over several weeks, and the account may drop to the free plan.
Does deleting my WriteHuman account cancel my subscription?
Deleting your account in My Account immediately cancels every Stripe-billed subscription, but it also ends remaining paid access without a refund and forfeits unused balances. It does not cancel Apple or Google subscriptions. Cancel those first. If you want to keep your remaining paid days, cancel the subscription instead of deleting the account.
Deletion also does not revoke the content license. Section 8 makes that license irrevocable and says it survives cancellation and deletion. WriteHuman may keep using submitted text already in training data. Closing billing and removing an account do not undo that permission, so deletion should not be treated as a way to retract previously submitted material.
What it costs if you stay vs switch
WriteHuman prices below are in US dollars. The monthly equivalent on an annual plan is not the amount collected each month. The annual total is the charge you need to budget for if you leave renewal enabled.
| WriteHuman plan | Monthly billing | Per month billed yearly | Yearly total | Requests per month | Words per request |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $20 | $12 | $144 | 80 | 600 |
| Pro | $29 | $19 | $228 | 200 | 1,200 |
| Ultra | $59 | $39 | $468 | Unlimited, subject to fair-use caps | 3,000 |
At these listed prices, the next annual charge is the full $144 to $468, depending on the plan. Cancel at least a day before renewal rather than trying to act while a payment is processing. The annual discount does not change the refund rule, and an unlimited request allowance still has fair-use caps and a per-request word ceiling.
A downgrade switches immediately. Unused time becomes account credit applied to future invoices, not cash returned to your card. An upgrade immediately charges the prorated difference. If your goal is to leave without losing the paid time you have left, cancellation is the relevant control. A downgrade keeps you in a billing relationship.
If you are switching because the writing needs too much cleanup, start with your actual draft. Use the tool above to run a passage of your own and see our AI-pattern score before and after. Read the result for meaning, tone and factual accuracy. That score does not guarantee what another detector will report.
Our WriteHuman alternative guide for choosing a replacement helps frame that decision, while the Undetected.ai versus WriteHuman comparison lets you compare the services directly. Our payments are also non-refundable except where the law requires. Check our pricing before paying and choose from the work you actually need to finish, rather than assuming a replacement comes with a refund trial.
What to do about a charge after cancellation
Match the charge date against the cancellation confirmation and billing period. Send both records to support@writehuman.ai if the sequence looks wrong. Section 11 says to contact support before a chargeback. If a dispute is resolved in WriteHuman's favor, it may terminate the account and you still owe the charge.
Section 26 provides binding arbitration under AAA rules, with the Federal Arbitration Act and Virginia law applying. Small claims are allowed. Matters permitted in court go to Chesterfield County, Virginia, or the Eastern District of Virginia, Richmond Division. Those dispute provisions do not create a routine refund exception. Start with the receipt, the cancellation record and a clear explanation of the billing problem.
