Decopy AI humanizer review and pricing with the credit math Decopy does not print
Decopy AI charges $9.99 to $29.99 a month, and its humanizer's Pro mode runs on credits it prices two different ways. The free tier has shrunk from 50 quotas to 10 since February. Here is what each plan buys in words, what the terms say about business use, and who should pay.

The short answer
Decopy AI (decopy.ai) costs $9.99, $14.99 or $29.99 a month for Lite, Basic and Premium, monthly only, with 800, 2,000 or 5,000 premium credits. Its humanizer has a Basic mode paid in quotas and a Pro mode paid in credits, and the app prices Pro mode at both 10 and 15 credits per 1,000 characters. At our 6-characters-per-word estimate that is roughly 8,900 to 13,300 Pro-mode words a month on Lite and 55,600 to 83,300 on Premium, or $0.36 to $1.12 per 1,000 words. The free tier fell to 10 quotas and 10 credits, and Lite rose from $6.99 to $9.99 in August 2026. Refunds are case by case, and the Terms of Use prohibit commercial use of the website or its content.
Prices were read on decopy.ai/pricing on October 5, 2026 in US dollars, from the server-rendered page and a screenshot, which agree. Credit costs come from the humanizer's own app text. Price history comes from Wayback Machine captures of the same page. Words per month and cost per 1,000 words are our arithmetic.

The free plan is listed at $0 with 10 quotas and 10 premium credits a month. Credits and quotas reset every billing cycle and do not roll over; separately bought top-up credits never expire. Credits are shared across the suite, and Decopy's AI content detector also charges premium credits on every plan, so checking a rewrite with Decopy's own detector eats into the same balance that pays for Pro-mode humanizing. A note under the feature table says a paid plan "grants an additional 3000 quota on top of the existing one", which does not match the 1,100 quotas printed on the Lite card.

Most of the pages that rank for Decopy still call it a completely free tool. The archive says otherwise. In February 2026 a free account got 50 quotas and 30 premium credits a month. By April that was 20 and 20, by July 10 and 10, and between mid-July and late August the entry plan went from $6.99 to $9.99, a 43% rise. Lite's allowance did not change with the price: it still carries 1,100 quotas and 800 credits.
That matters if you are choosing Decopy because it used to be cheap. Ten credits cover about 170 words of Pro-mode humanizing at the lower rate, which is one paragraph. Anyone humanizing essays, posts or client copy every week is a paying customer from the first day, so the real comparison is Decopy's $9.99 to $29.99 against other paid humanizers, not against free.
The credit math
Two prices for the same Decopy Pro mode
Both strings ship in the humanizer's own app. Here is what each does to the cost of 1,000 words.
Mode picker says
10 credits
per 1,000 characters ("1,000 characters / 10 credits")
Basic mode in the same picker: "500 characters / 1 quota"
Pricing note says
15 credits
"per 1,000 characters", 50% more
Basic mode in the same note: "1 quota per request"
Cost per 1,000 humanized words
Decopy bars show the 10-credit rate, with the 15-credit rate in the label. Lower is cheaper.
Decopy sells credits, not words, and the humanizer measures your text in characters, so you have to convert twice to know what a plan buys. We used 6 characters per English word, which allows for the letters, the space and punctuation. At 10 credits per 1,000 characters a thousand words costs 60 credits; at 15 it costs 90. Lite's 800 credits then cover about 13,300 or 8,900 words a month, and Premium's 5,000 cover about 83,300 or 55,600.
The cheap route is Basic mode, which spends quotas instead of credits and is unlimited on Premium. If Basic mode output is good enough for you, $29.99 buys a lot of rewriting. The catch is Decopy's own description of it: "70% baseline detector evasion" and "AI content reduced to 50%", against "99% comprehensive detector evasion" for Pro mode. Decopy is telling you the mode you can afford in volume is the weaker one.

2 stories
On whether results are guaranteed
The Pro-mode panel lists "Guaranteed top-tier results" and "AI content reduced to 0%". The humanizer page itself says "no rewriting tool can guarantee the same result across every detector". The second sentence is the honest one, and it is the one we would rely on.
No
Commercial use in the terms
The Terms of Use, dated November 27, 2024, prohibit using "the website and/or its content for any revenue-generating or commercial enterprise". Agencies, freelancers and in-house marketers rewriting paid copy are on the wrong side of that line as written.
0
Arbitration details after the heading
A "Dispute Resolution" heading announces a mandatory arbitration procedure and a class action waiver, then moves straight on to electronic communications. No venue, no rules, no governing law. The privacy policy names the operator as ZINGKODE LTD.
Billing is friendlier than most of the field in one respect: you cancel from My Account, and Decopy says you keep your credits and quotas to the end of the period. The refund policy, updated March 26, 2026, reviews requests case by case against your usage records, which is more than several rivals offer and less than a fixed window you can count on. Two details to know before you pay. Asking for a refund does not cancel the plan. And if a renewal fails, for example on an expired card, the membership lapses and the month's credits are wiped, yet auto-renewal stays on and Decopy retries the charge later; only a manual cancel stops it.
If you write for clients or for an employer, the commercial-use clause is the bigger issue. A tool whose terms forbid the job you are paying it for is a poor fit for an invoice your finance team will approve. Compare the AI humanizer for content teams page for how a business plan should read, and the StealthWriter review for another credit-metered rival read the same way.

Decopy is the cheaper entry ticket, takes far longer inputs, and on Premium its Pro mode undercuts our monthly Starter per word; we say so plainly. Our case is for buyers who want an allowance counted in words, a single mode with no weaker tier to fall back on, yearly billing at $24 a month, and terms that do not rule out the paid work they are doing. Higher up, our Pro plan is $99 a month ($49 billed yearly) for 300,000 words and Scale is $199 ($99 yearly) for 1,000,000; the full ladder is on the pricing page. Questions buyers ask
Decopy AI questions answered from its own pages
How much does Decopy AI cost?
Decopy AI costs $9.99 a month for Lite, $14.99 for Basic and $29.99 for Premium, billed monthly; the pricing page shows no yearly option. Lite carries 800 premium credits, Basic 2,000 and Premium 5,000, and the humanizer's Pro mode spends those credits. Prices read in US dollars on decopy.ai/pricing on October 5, 2026.
Is Decopy AI free?
Not in any meaningful way anymore. A free account gets 10 quotas and 10 premium credits a month, down from 50 quotas and 30 credits in February 2026. Ten credits buy roughly 1,000 characters of Pro-mode humanizing, about 170 words. Many review sites still describe Decopy as completely free, which was never true of Pro mode and is now less true of everything.
How many credits does the Decopy AI humanizer use?
Decopy states it two ways. The mode picker in its app says Pro mode costs "1,000 characters / 10 credits", while the pricing note in the same app says "15 credits per 1,000 characters". Basic mode is "500 characters / 1 quota" in one string and "1 quota per request" in another. Budget on the higher figure until Decopy settles it.
Is the Decopy AI humanizer good?
It is a broad, cheap suite with a humanizer attached, not a specialist. Decopy's own app rates its Basic mode at "70% baseline detector evasion" and keeps the stronger claims for Pro mode, which runs on credits. Its own humanizer page then says no rewriting tool can guarantee the same result across every detector. Test it on your own draft before paying.
Does Decopy AI give refunds?
Only case by case. The refund policy, last updated March 26, 2026, says requests are reviewed against your account's usage records, credit packs are generally non-refundable once added, and refunds take 5 to 10 business days. It also warns that asking for a refund does not cancel the subscription, so cancel in your account as well.
How do I cancel my Decopy AI subscription?
Open My Account on decopy.ai and cancel the subscription there; Decopy says you keep your remaining credits and quotas until the end of the billing period. One trap: if a renewal payment fails, your membership expires and the credits are wiped, but auto-renewal stays on and the charge is retried later. Only a manual cancel stops it.
Can I use Decopy AI for client or business work?
Read the terms first. Decopy's Terms of Use, dated November 27, 2024, list as prohibited using "the website and/or its content for any revenue-generating or commercial enterprise". Freelancers, agencies and marketing teams humanizing paid copy are exactly that use, so a business buyer should get written permission or pick a tool whose terms allow it.
Who owns Decopy AI?
Decopy's privacy policy, last updated March 24, 2026, names ZINGKODE LTD. as the company that collects and uses your data. The Terms of Use do not name a governing law or an arbitration venue, even though a heading in them announces a mandatory arbitration agreement and a class action waiver.
