Rephrasy AI Review and Pricing Across Every Plan
Rephrasy charges $18.99 to $39 a month, or $99 to $220 a year, for 100 to 400 humanizations of up to 2,000 words. Its homepage guarantees a detector pass; its terms say it does not.

Rephrasy costs $18.99, $25 or $39 a month for its Growth, Business and Professional plans, or $99, $120 and $220 a year if you pay up front. Each plan buys a number of "humanizations" of up to 2,000 words, so it is metered by requests, not words. There is also a $12.99 pass for 24 hours and a $199 lifetime deal. The homepage guarantees a 100% pass rate on every major detector; its own terms say it does not guarantee that at all.
We read all of that on rephrasy.ai on September 30, 2026: the pricing block on the homepage (both billing toggles, in a real browser), its FAQ, and its terms of service. We sell a competing humanizer, so treat this as a rival's buyer briefing, with every number sourced to Rephrasy's own pages. That matters here more than usual, because every third-party Rephrasy review we found on the first page of Google still quotes the old prices, $9.99 for the day pass and $14.99 for Growth. Both have gone up.
Rephrasy pricing, every plan and what it gives you
| Plan | Monthly | Yearly (per month) | Billed yearly | Humanizations a month | Max words each | Word ceiling |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Quick Pass | $12.99 once, for 24 hours | "Unlimited" | Not stated | 24 hours of use | ||
| Growth | $18.99 | $8.25 | $99 | 100 | 2,000 | 200,000 |
| Business | $25 | $10.00 | $120 | 200 | 2,000 | 400,000 |
| Professional | $39 | $18.33 | $220 | 400 | 2,000 | 800,000 |
| Lifetime | $199 once (shown struck through from $300) | "Unlimited" | Not stated | 2,400 credits for plagiarism checks and API | ||
Read on rephrasy.ai, September 30, 2026, in US dollars. The word ceiling is Rephrasy's own arithmetic, printed on each card ("up to 2,000 words each = 200,000 words"). Business and Professional add API access; only Professional includes the AI detector API.
Two things in that table are easy to misread. First, the yearly toggle advertises "Save 60%", and that is true only for Business ($120 against $300 of monthly payments). Growth saves 57% and Professional 53%. Second, the "per month" yearly prices are charged in one payment: Growth is $99 on day one, not $8.25 a month.
Is Rephrasy worth it at these prices?
On price per word, yearly Rephrasy is one of the cheapest humanizers we have priced, provided you fill the requests. Growth billed yearly is $99 for a ceiling of 200,000 words a month, which works out to about 4 cents per 1,000 words at full use. Nothing in our cheapest AI humanizer comparison beats that rate on paper.
The words "on paper" carry the weight. A humanization is one request whatever its size. If your average paste is 300 words, Growth moves 30,000 words a month, and the yearly rate rises to about 28 cents per 1,000. On monthly billing at $18.99 it is about 63 cents. The same trap sits inside WriteHuman, which also sells attempts rather than words; we priced that model plan by plan in our WriteHuman AI review, and the rule is the same here. Work out your average paste size before you pick a plan, then divide.
Rephrasy softens the request meter in one real way: the "free re-humanize feature" on every paid plan. If the first rewrite is not good enough, you can run it again without spending another humanization. That is a genuine advantage over tools that charge for every retry, and it is the strongest point in Rephrasy's favor.
Does Rephrasy guarantee you will pass AI detectors?
No, not in the document that binds it. The homepage says "We guarantee 100% pass rates on every major detector", and repeats it in the FAQ and in the structured data it serves to search engines. Section 7 of the terms of service says the opposite: "Rephrasy aims to humanize text effectively but does not guarantee that humanized text will be undetectable by AI detectors."
If you are buying because of the guarantee, the guarantee is the part you cannot rely on. There is also no refund route tied to it (more on refunds below). Our position is that no humanizer can honestly promise a pass: detectors retrain without notice, and a score that holds today can flip next month. That is why we show our own AI-pattern score with the reasons behind it, rather than a promise about someone else's detector.
The homepage has a smaller inconsistency of the same kind. The hero says Rephrasy is "trusted by 200,000+ students & professionals"; the stats strip further down the same page says "124,610+ Users". Both may be true by different counts, but they cannot both be the number of people using it.
Does Rephrasy offer refunds?
Only case by case, and never for lifetime deals. Section 5 of the terms says refunds are "possible under specific conditions", that credits you have used are not refundable, that "we do not just refund upon request", and, with an exclamation mark, "We do not refund any lifetime deals." The terms point you to the free trial instead, which is capped at 100 words per humanization.
That makes the $199 lifetime offer the riskiest purchase on the page. It is labeled "Limited Time Offer" with $300 struck through, and the page text we read carried no end date or countdown. A lifetime plan also depends on the company staying in business and keeping the plan's terms, and the terms here are short (about 3,500 characters in total), carry no "last updated" date, and name German law. The provider details are a c/o address at an imprint service in Hungen, Germany, plus a German VAT number. For a US buyer, a dispute over a $199 non-refundable purchase from a German seller is a card chargeback or nothing.
What happens when you cancel Rephrasy?
Section 6 says that on cancellation "the subscription status will be removed", dropping the humanizer to a maximum of 100 words, while "unused credits will remain". The terms do not say that you keep the paid plan until the end of the period you paid for, which most competitors state outright. Our reading: use what you need before you cancel, and cancel close to the renewal date rather than the day after paying. If you pay by company card, the charge is a software subscription like any other in your books, and if you already turn a bookkeeping export into a profit and loss statement each month, it is worth checking which tools on that line are still earning their place.
Rephrasy against the tools people compare it with
| Tool | Entry paid plan | How it meters you | Refund stance |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rephrasy | $18.99/mo, or $99/yr | 100 humanizations of up to 2,000 words, free re-runs | Case by case, never lifetime |
| WriteHuman | $20/mo, or $144/yr | 80 requests of up to 600 words | None unless the law requires one |
| Grubby AI | $19.99 every 4 weeks | Words per month, 500-word paste on the entry tier | Terms say non-refundable |
| Undetected.ai (us) | $49/mo, or $24/mo billed yearly | 100,000 words a month, up to 1,500 per run | See our terms |
Rephrasy is the cheapest entry in that table on yearly billing, and its 2,000-word request is larger than ours. Where it loses is predictability: a request meter punishes short pastes, and the page's biggest promise is withdrawn in the terms. Grubby's four-week billing and paste cap are covered in our Grubby AI review, and the wider field is priced on one set of columns in the best AI humanizer roundup.
Who should buy Rephrasy, and who should not
Buy Growth yearly if you humanize long pieces, close to 2,000 words each, and want the lowest price per word you can find. The free re-humanize feature makes the request meter much less painful for that kind of work, and $99 is a modest amount to risk. Buy monthly first if you are unsure, even though it costs more, because the refund depends on goodwill.
Skip the lifetime deal unless you would be comfortable losing $199. Skip Rephrasy altogether if your work is many short pieces (emails, captions, product blurbs), because each one uses a full humanization. A word-metered plan charges only for the words you paste: ours is $24 a month billed yearly for 100,000 words, and the essay humanizer shows what changed in each rewrite and why. You can paste a real paragraph into the tool at the top of this page and judge the result before you pay.
Rephrasy review, the short version
Rephrasy costs $18.99 to $39 a month, or $99 to $220 a year, for 100 to 400 humanizations of up to 2,000 words each, plus a $12.99 day pass and a $199 lifetime deal it will not refund. Yearly Growth is excellent value for long pastes and poor value for short ones. The "100% pass rate" guarantee on the homepage is contradicted by section 7 of the terms, refunds are discretionary, and the terms do not promise you keep access after cancelling. Check the current prices on rephrasy.ai before you pay; the ones quoted elsewhere online are already out of date.
