StealthGPT cancels from your account page and runs to the end of the paid term. Section 8 makes every purchase non-refundable; section 31 is the one conditional exception.

To cancel StealthGPT, log in at stealthgpt.ai and cancel from your account page. The plan stays active to the end of the period you paid for, then stops. StealthGPT's terms say all purchases are non-refundable, so cancelling never returns money by itself; the only written exception is a conditional "Detected? Get your money back" clause that needs a screenshot as proof.

We read StealthGPT's terms of service (dated August 27, 2026) and its price page, and we cover the plans themselves in our StealthGPT review with pricing and the $1 trial. This guide is for someone paying StealthGPT who wants to stop, or who has just found a charge they did not expect. It is written by Undetected.ai, a competing AI humanizer and a different company. We cannot cancel or refund anything for you; only StealthGPT can.
How do I cancel my StealthGPT subscription?
Section 8 of the terms gives one route: "You can cancel your subscription at any time by logging into your account." The price page FAQ says the same thing, that you cancel "directly from your account page". In practice:
- Log in at stealthgpt.ai with the email you paid under. If you have more than one account, check which one the receipt went to first.
- Open your account page and find the subscription or billing section.
- Cancel the plan and take a screenshot of the confirmation, with the date visible.
- Look for a confirmation email. If none arrives within the hour, write to StealthGPT through stealthgpt.ai/support, say you have cancelled, and ask for written confirmation.
Do it from the account itself, not by deleting the app or the Chrome extension. Section 5 of the terms says recurring purchases are charged "without requiring your prior approval for each recurring charge, until you notify us of your cancellation". Removing the software is not a notice. The card keeps being charged until the subscription is cancelled.
How do I cancel the StealthGPT $1 trial before it charges?
The same way, and before the third day ends. New users can start Pro or Max for $1 for three days on the weekly or the monthly tab. When the three days are up, the full plan price on that tab is charged: $6.99 a week for Pro or $19.99 a week for Max on weekly, $29.99 or $49.99 on monthly. Nothing in the terms describes a reminder email before that charge.
Two things catch people. First, the price page opens on the weekly tab, so many trials roll into weekly billing without the buyer noticing. Max weekly works out to about $86.62 a month (52 weeks divided by 12), well above the $49.99 monthly price for the same plan. Second, a trial cancelled on day three is safest cancelled on day two. Cancel as soon as you know you will not keep it; the terms say a cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid term, so you should keep the rest of the trial anyway.
Does StealthGPT give refunds?
As a rule, no. Section 8 opens with "All purchases are non-refundable." That covers the $1 trial, the first weekly or monthly charge after it, every renewal, and yearly plans. Section 5 adds a waiver of the withdrawal right for digital content "where permitted by applicable law", which is aimed at buyers in places with a cooling-off period.
Two openings remain. The terms themselves say "Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable consumer rights granted under applicable law", so a right your state or country gives you cannot be signed away. And section 8 ends with "If you are unsatisfied with our services, please contact us" at the support page. That is not a refund promise, but it is where a request goes. Public review sites include buyers who say they got a renewal refunded after writing in quickly and others who say they were refused, so treat it as a request, not a right.
What is the StealthGPT "Detected? Get your money back" guarantee?
It is section 31 of the terms, the only written exception to the no-refund rule, and it is conditional. To claim it you send a screenshot from a third-party AI checker that shows a response you got from StealthGPT flagged as AI-generated. StealthGPT verifies it, then refunds:
- Weekly and monthly users: the current billing cycle only.
- Yearly users: the affected month plus a prorated refund for the rest of the subscription.
Three exclusions decide most claims. The clause is void if you used a response that StealthGPT's own built-in stealth score had already marked as likely to be flagged. Screenshots from Originality.ai are not accepted at all. And the checker has to be one StealthGPT considers valid; the clause names a short list and leaves others to its judgment. If you plan to claim, save the StealthGPT output, its stealth score, and the third-party screenshot together before you cancel, because after cancellation you may lose access to the history.
StealthGPT refund cases at a glance

|---|---|---|
| On the $1 trial, day 1 or 2 | No, but nothing more is charged if you cancel now | Cancel from the account page today |
| Trial rolled into a weekly plan yesterday | Non-refundable as written | Cancel, then ask support at once |
| Monthly plan renewed, unused this cycle | Non-refundable as written | Cancel and write to support; no right to it |
| Output flagged by a third-party checker | Possibly, under section 31 | Send the screenshot with the output and stealth score |
| Output flagged only by Originality.ai | No, excluded in section 31 | Cancel to stop the renewal |
| Yearly plan, cancelled in month four | No, access runs to the end of the year | Use the access you paid for |
| Charge you never authorized | Not a refund question | Contact your card issuer the same day |
What happens after I cancel StealthGPT?
The plan keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for, then it lapses and no further charge is taken. Section 8: "Your cancellation will take effect at the end of the current paid term." On a weekly plan that is at most seven days. On a yearly plan it can be most of a year, and none of it comes back unless section 31 applies. Your account stays; cancelling a subscription is not the same as deleting the account, which is a separate request if you want your data gone.
Can I dispute a StealthGPT charge with my bank?
For a charge you did not authorize, yes, and fast. For one you agreed to and forgot about, write to StealthGPT first. Section 22 of the terms asks both sides to try informal negotiation for 30 days before binding arbitration, and a card issuer will usually ask whether you contacted the merchant. StealthGPT keeps your usage history, which is what a merchant sends back to answer a dispute, so a chargeback on a plan you used is a weak case.
If the subscription sits on a company card because a content team shares Max's three seats or Enterprise's five, the bigger fix is upstream. Weekly billing is easy to lose in a monthly close; tracking every software line against a business budget with a cash forecast makes a $19.99 weekly charge visible as the $86 a month it really is.
Is StealthGPT the same company as StealthWriter or Undetected.ai?
No. StealthGPT is stealthgpt.ai, run by XYZ AI, Inc. StealthWriter is a separate product at stealthwriter.ai, and Undetected.ai is this site. A charge from one does not exist on the others' systems, so check the descriptor on your card statement before you write to anyone. If the line says StealthWriter, our StealthWriter review covers its plans.
What to check before you pay for the next humanizer
Most people cancelling StealthGPT are not done with humanizers. They hit the 1,000-word request cap on Pro, found the trial had rolled into weekly billing, or wanted a refund and read section 8. Before you pay again:
- The billing period the checkout defaults to. Weekly plans cost more over a year than the same plan monthly.
- The words per run, not only the monthly total. A 3,000-word report split into three pastes loses consistency.
- Whether you can see a result on your own text before paying, so the refund terms matter less.
Undetected.ai bills monthly or yearly, never weekly. You can run a passage of your own and see our AI-pattern score before and after, without entering a card. Paid plans start at $24 a month billed yearly or $49 month to month, for 100,000 words and 1,500 words per run, and you cancel from your account at any time. To be straight about it: our payments are also non-refundable except where the law requires, which is exactly why the free passage comes first. The StealthGPT alternative page sets the two of us side by side plan by plan, and the best AI humanizer list compares the wider field on price and limits.
