Writesonic AI Humanizer review after the tool page was removed

The Writesonic AI humanizer page now answers "410 Gone". Writesonic sells AI search visibility plans from $79 a month billed annually, and humanizing survives only as a step inside its article writer. To rewrite a draft you already have, you need a different tool.

The short answer

Writesonic no longer offers a humanizer you can paste text into. Its old address, writesonic.com/ai-humanizer, returns HTTP 410 Gone, and nothing in its sitemap or plan table replaces it. The company now calls itself an AI search growth engine, with plans at $99, $249 and $499 a month, or $79, $199 and $399 billed annually. A humanizer still runs as one step of its AI Article Writer, on the 15 to 50 articles a month the plans include. If your job is making an existing AI draft read naturally, a dedicated humanizer does it for about $0.24 per 1,000 words on our Starter billed yearly.

What we found

Does Writesonic still have an AI humanizer

Not one you can open. We requested the humanizer address twice, once as a plain request and once in a real browser, and both times Writesonic's server answered 410. That code is more specific than the usual 404. A 404 says the server cannot find the page. A 410 says the page existed and was taken away for good, which is what a site sends when it retires a product on purpose.

The rest of the old writing toolbox went the same way. The paraphrasing tool and the text summarizer now forward to the AI Article Writer. The sitemap lists 102 pages, and none of them is a humanizer, paraphraser or rewriter. The free tools that remain are aimed at marketers: an llms.txt generator, an AI crawl checker, an AI search grader, an LLM optimizer and two keyword tools.

Address on writesonic.com Answer What it means
/ai-humanizer 410 Gone. Removed on purpose, with no redirect.
/paraphrasing-tool 308 Redirects to the AI Article Writer.
/text-summarizer 308 Redirects to the AI Article Writer.
/sentence-rewriter 404 Not found.
/pricing 200 Live. Plans for AI search visibility.

We could not read the old tool's limits first-hand, because the Wayback Machine holds no copy of that address. One user review posted on a software forum while the tool was live describes three free runs of 200 words each, with unlimited use from $39 a month. Treat that as a report, not a fact we verified. It matters less now, since neither the free runs nor a $39 plan exist on Writesonic's site today.

What Writesonic charges now

Writesonic pricing in 2026 and what each plan includes

The pricing page opens on annual billing. Monthly billing costs 25% more for the same plan.

Starter

Monthly

$99

Annual

$79

Each figure is per month. Annual is $948 paid up front.

  • 15 AI articles a month, each with the humanizer step
  • Per article at full use: $6.60 monthly, $5.27 yearly
  • 1 user, 1 project
  • No tool for pasting your own text

Basic

Monthly

$249

Annual

$199

Each figure is per month. Annual is $2,388 paid up front.

  • 25 AI articles a month, each with the humanizer step
  • Per article at full use: $9.96 monthly, $7.96 yearly
  • 2 users, 1 project
  • No tool for pasting your own text

Growth

Monthly

$499

Annual

$399

Each figure is per month. Annual is $4,788 paid up front.

  • 50 AI articles a month, each with the humanizer step
  • Per article at full use: $9.98 monthly, $7.98 yearly
  • 3 users, 2 projects
  • No tool for pasting your own text

These are marketing-team prices. Starter tracks 50 prompts across ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews and runs 10 site audits a month. Basic and Growth raise those counts, add seats and, on Growth, sentiment analysis. Enterprise is quoted by sales. The pricing page says annual billing "saves 20%", and the cards print the saving as $240, $600 and $1,200 a year, which matches the monthly prices of $99, $249 and $499.

Notice what the cheaper plan does to the article price. Starter works out to $5.27 an article on annual billing, while Growth is $7.98, because the bigger plans charge mostly for tracking and seats. If you need more articles on Basic, the add-on is 20 for $100 a month, or $5 each. None of this buys a single word of rewriting for text you wrote or generated somewhere else.

Where the humanizer went

It became a step inside the article writer

The word "Humanizer" still appears on Writesonic's site, in two places. The AI Article Writer describes a ten-phase pipeline and says "Humanizer strips the AI tells", and its comparison chart lists a "Humanizer pass with 5 years of refinement". The outreach feature adds that "The Humanizer chain runs every outreach so it lands like a human wrote it."

So the technology was kept and the tool was folded in. That is a fair product decision, and it suits a team that wants finished articles from a brief. It does not help a writer holding a ChatGPT or Claude draft, a student with an essay, or an editor with a client's copy. You cannot hand the pipeline your own text and take back a rewritten version.

For that job, compare tools that publish a word allowance and a run limit. Our best AI humanizer comparison prices the paid field the same way, and the ChatGPT humanizer page covers the most common starting point.

What the pricing page says and what the terms say

Quotes from Writesonic's pricing page on the left, from its terms of May 12, 2026 on the right.

Pricing page

  • "No. Sign up and explore Writesonic with full access. No credit card."
  • "Annual billing saves 20%. You pay for 12 months upfront."
  • "Downgrades and cancellations take effect next billing cycle. 7-day, no-questions-asked refund."
  • Agentic workflows are "Limited access" with 10, 50 or 100 trial runs below Enterprise.

Terms of use

  • Writesonic "may add, modify, or discontinue features of the Service over time".
  • The 7-day refund covers the initial subscription fee on self-serve plans. After that, fees are generally non-refundable.
  • Each term renews automatically, and fees can change for the next renewal term with 30 days' notice.
  • Delaware law, state and federal courts in Wilmington, a jury trial waiver and no arbitration clause.

On refunds Writesonic is better than most of the humanizer field, and better than us. A full refund of the first payment within seven days is written into the terms, and the pricing page repeats it in plain words. Our own plans are non-refundable except where the law requires, which is why we let you run a sample before signing up.

The clause to remember is the one about features. The terms allow Writesonic to discontinue features, with the limit that a change may not materially diminish the core functionality you contracted for during your term. The humanizer page is a live example of that clause at work. If you pay a year up front for one feature of a broad platform, check that the feature is named in the plan table you are buying from, and not only in a blog post or an old review.

Writesonic compared with Undetected.ai for humanizing a draft

Writesonic wins two rows outright, and the table marks them.

What you compare Writesonic Undetected.ai
Can you paste your own text and get it rewritten No public tool for it. The humanizer page returns 410 Gone Yes, up to 1,500 words per run
Where the humanizer lives A step inside the AI Article Writer and the outreach drafts It is the whole product
Lowest price $79 a month billed annually, $99 monthly $24 a month billed yearly, $49 monthly
What the entry plan includes 15 AI articles, 10 site audits and tracking of 50 prompts in three AI engines (Writesonic wins on breadth) 100,000 words of rewriting a month
Trying before paying 7-day trial with no credit card A sample run before you sign up, then a small one-time allowance
Refunds Full refund of the first payment within 7 days (Writesonic wins) Non-refundable except where the law requires
Seats 1 to 3 users included, $50 a month per extra user Team seats on the higher plans
Terms and disputes Delaware law, courts in Wilmington, no arbitration clause Our current terms

Our Starter plan is $49 monthly or $24 a month billed yearly for 100,000 words; Pro is $99 ($49 yearly) for 300,000 words, and Scale is $199 ($99 yearly) for 1,000,000. Each run takes up to 1,500 words and shows an AI-pattern score before and after, with the patterns it found named. Every plan is on the pricing page. No humanizer, ours included, can promise a result on every detector, because detectors are retrained and disagree with each other.

A rough way to compare the two: one Writesonic Starter article costs about $5.27 on annual billing. The same $5.27 covers roughly 22,000 words of rewriting on our Starter billed yearly. They are different jobs, so the fair question is which job you have. If you want articles produced from a brief and tracked in AI search, that is Writesonic's ground. If you have the text and want it to read like a person wrote it, that is ours. Content teams who do both can read how we fit into an editing workflow on the AI humanizer for content teams page.

Questions people ask

Writesonic AI humanizer questions answered from its own pages

Does Writesonic have an AI humanizer?

Not as a tool you can open and paste text into. On October 12, 2026 the address writesonic.com/ai-humanizer returned HTTP 410 Gone, and no humanizer appears in the 102 pages of Writesonic's sitemap or in its plan table. A humanizer step still runs inside the AI Article Writer on articles Writesonic generates.

Is Writesonic AI humanizer free?

There is no free Writesonic humanizer to use today, because the public tool page has been removed. Writesonic's current free tools are an llms.txt generator, an AI crawl checker, an AI search grader, an LLM optimizer and two keyword tools. Paid plans come with a 7-day trial that needs no credit card.

How much does Writesonic cost?

Writesonic Starter is $99 a month or $79 a month billed annually ($948 a year). Basic is $249 or $199 ($2,388 a year). Growth is $499 or $399 ($4,788 a year). Enterprise is custom. Prices are in US dollars on writesonic.com/pricing, read on October 12, 2026.

Is Writesonic legit?

Yes. Writesonic, Inc. is a Delaware corporation with a San Francisco address, published prices, terms last updated May 12, 2026 and a 7-day refund on the first payment. What changed is the product: it now sells AI search visibility tracking and article generation to marketing teams, and no longer offers a standalone humanizer.

Can I get a refund from Writesonic?

Yes, once. Writesonic's terms let self-serve customers request a full refund of the initial subscription fee within 7 days of the first purchase, and its pricing FAQ calls it a "7-day, no-questions-asked refund". After that, fees are generally non-refundable, and cancelling takes effect at the end of the billing cycle.

What happened to the Writesonic paraphrasing tool?

Its address now redirects to the AI Article Writer, and so does the old text summarizer. Writesonic's public site no longer lists a paraphraser, rewriter or humanizer as a separate tool. The company describes itself as an AI search growth engine, with plans built around tracking brand mentions in AI answers.

What is the best Writesonic AI humanizer alternative?

For rewriting text you already have, pick a dedicated humanizer with a published word allowance and run limit. Undetected.ai takes up to 1,500 words per run and starts at $24 a month billed yearly for 100,000 words, about $0.24 per 1,000 words. Run a passage of your own before paying.

Is Writesonic still worth paying for?

It can be, for a marketing team that wants to track how AI engines mention its brand and publish 15 to 50 generated articles a month. At $79 a month and up it is poor value if all you need is to make existing AI drafts read naturally, since the plans do not include a tool for that.
