AI Undetect review of aiundetect.com pricing, word limits and refund terms

AI Undetect is one of the cheapest humanizers on sale, from $5 a month billed yearly. Before you pay for a year, three things are worth knowing: the yearly Basic plan carries fewer words than the monthly one, every purchase is non-refundable, and the terms do not promise a yearly plan will last the year.

The short answer

AI Undetect (aiundetect.com) sells three plans. Billed yearly they cost $5, $10 and $20 a month, charged as $60, $120 and $240 up front. Month to month they cost $15, $25 and $45. Basic covers 10,000 words a month on the yearly plan and 15,000 on the monthly one, Standard covers 50,000, and Pro is unmetered. A single request is capped at 500, 1,500 or 3,000 words depending on the plan. All purchases are non-refundable under its terms, and cancelling takes effect at the end of the paid term. At 50,000 words a month it is cheaper per word than we are.

Three plans, every USD figure, the words each one carries and the cost per 1,000 words. Read October 13, 2026.

Plan Billed yearly Paid up front Words a month, yearly Month to month Words a month, monthly Per request Per 1,000 words

Standard $10/mo $120 50,000 $25/mo 50,000 1,500 words $0.20 yearly · $0.50 monthly
Pro $20/mo $240 Unlimited $45/mo Unlimited 3,000 words Not metered

The up-front and per-1,000-word columns are our arithmetic on AI Undetect's own figures. Every plan also lists its built-in AI checker (30 checks a day on Basic, unmetered above that), rewrite history, all rewrite styles and the Auto-Perfect mode. Basic comes with what the card calls basic customer support, the other two with priority support. Each card carries an "Other Payment" link under the main button; we did not follow it through a purchase.

Check the math

The yearly Basic plan is a smaller plan and the sale badges do not all add up

Each yearly card shows a crossed-out price and a percentage. Here is each one against the monthly tab of the same page.

Plan What the yearly card says What the monthly tab charges What that works out to
Basic 50%off, was $10, save $60/year $15 for 15,000 words 67 percent less per month, for a third fewer words
Standard 60%off, was $25, save $180/year $25 for 50,000 words 60 percent less, same words. This one checks out
Pro 60%off, was $45, save $300/year $45, unmetered 55.6 percent less. The $300 saving is right, the badge is rounded up

Standard is straightforward. It costs $25 a month, or $10 a month if you pay $120 for the year, and you get 50,000 words either way. That is the plan the page marks as most popular and it is the easiest one to reason about.

Basic is where to slow down. The yearly card strikes through $10 and calls $5 a 50 percent saving worth $60 a year. But nobody can buy Basic for $10. The monthly tab sells it at $15, and that $15 plan carries 15,000 words where the yearly one carries 10,000. So the yearly Basic is not the monthly Basic at a discount. It is a smaller plan under the same name. Per thousand words you still come out well ahead on the yearly one, 50 cents against a dollar, as long as 10,000 words is enough. If you sized your month off the 15,000 figure on the other tab, it is not.

The request cap matters more than the monthly total for most people on Basic. Five hundred words per request means a 2,000-word essay goes through in four pieces, each rewritten without sight of the others, and you stitch the joins yourself. Standard lifts that to 1,500 words and Pro to 3,000.

Before you pay for a year

No refunds and a yearly plan that is not promised to last the year

The price page says nothing about refunds. The policy is in the terms of service, in two places. Section 6 reads:

All purchases are non-refundable. You can cancel your subscription at any time by logging into your account. Your cancellation will take effect at the end of the current paid term.

A separate refunds section near the end repeats it: refunds "will not be provided unless required by law". Both sections name one exception, and it is a refund of credits rather than money. It applies only when a submission scores under a stated threshold on what the terms call a reputable AI detector, and the request has to arrive within 30 days. The terms do not say which detector counts or who decides, so treat it as a courtesy rather than a guarantee you can plan around.

The clause that deserves a second read is the one under it, section 6.1, because the cheap prices all depend on paying for twelve months at once:

The Company does not guarantee that your subscription will last for a full year or the specified subscription period.

The same section goes on to say that if the company stops operating or cannot provide the service, the subscription ends "immediately without any refund or compensation", and that by agreeing you "acknowledge and accept the risk that your subscription may not last for the full duration you initially paid for". Most software terms are quiet on this point. These are explicit, and they put the whole risk on the buyer.

None of that means the service is about to disappear. It means the arithmetic of the yearly plan should include it. On Basic the exposure is $60. On Pro it is $240. If you would be annoyed to lose the balance, the monthly tab exists for that reason, and one month at $25 is a cheap way to find out whether the tool suits your writing before you commit to twelve.

Cancelling is simple by comparison: one route, from inside your account, effective at the end of the term you paid for. Take a screenshot of the confirmation. If you are leaving another tool at the same time, our guides to Undetectable AI refunds and cancellation and cancelling Phrasly walk through the same steps for those companies.

What you can test

The free allowance shows the manual mode and the paid plans sell Auto-Perfect

500 words

Free, once you register

The site's FAQ gives each user 500 words of humanizing and 10 checks with its AI detector. The paste box counts to 250 words for a visitor, so a free test is one or two paragraphs at a time.

2 modes

Manual is free, Auto-Perfect is paid

Manual mode rewrites once and leaves the refining to you. Auto-Perfect, which re-runs the rewrite on its own until the built-in checker is satisfied, sits behind a subscription. What you try for nothing is not the mode you would be paying for.

2x

Auto mode on the API costs double

The API is a separate plan: 30,000 words a month for $15, or $7.50 a month billed yearly. The sample code carries the comment "Enabling auto mode will deduct double points", so with auto on, 30,000 words behaves like 15,000.

The price page does not say whether Auto-Perfect also draws double from the monthly allowance in the web app. The double rate is stated for the API only. If you plan to run everything through Auto-Perfect on Basic, ask their support before you buy, because 10,000 words at a double rate would be 5,000.

AI Undetect also takes file uploads (.txt, .md, .pdf and .docx up to 10 MB), keeps a rewrite history on paid plans, offers three strength settings and several styles, and lists more than 20 interface languages. Those are real conveniences, and the language list in particular is longer than ours.

Who you are buying from

A named company, Idaho law and terms last updated in 2023

AI Undetect does better than several rivals on the basic question of who is behind it. The terms name the seller as "AIundetect LLC, doing business as AI Undetect" and say the agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Idaho. Disputes go to informal negotiation for at least 30 days and then to binding arbitration. A US buyer at least knows which state's law applies.

The paperwork is older than the product, though. The terms say "Last updated September 05, 2023" and the privacy notice says 09/01/2023, while the site footer reads 2025 and the page promotes a model it calls Undetect V3. Section 6.1 also refers to a case where the company "discontinues the Undetectable", a name that does not belong to this product and reads like wording carried over from somewhere else. Neither point is a red flag on its own. Together they suggest the legal text was written once and not revisited as the plans changed, which matters when the refund rules live only there.

One more practical note for anyone who arrived here by typing a name from memory. AI Undetect, Undetectable AI and Undetected.ai are three different companies. If your card statement shows a charge and you are not sure which one it was, the receipt email will name the seller. We can only see accounts on undetected.ai. Our Undetectable AI vs Undetected AI page sorts out the other pairing.

What you see after a rewrite An AI score from its built-in checker Our own AI-pattern score before and after, with the reasons

Start with where AI Undetect wins, because it wins on the thing most people look at first. It is cheaper in dollars at every tier. Its Standard plan, at $10 a month billed yearly for 50,000 words, costs 20 cents per thousand words against $0.24 on our Starter. Its Pro plan has no word meter at all for $20 a month. And it works in more languages than we do. If you write under 50,000 words a month, mostly in pieces under 1,500 words, and you are comfortable with the yearly terms above, it is hard to beat on price.

Where we would argue for ourselves is narrower. Our entry plan is sized for a working month: 100,000 words across 300 runs for $24 a month billed yearly or $49 month to month, with the same allowance on both. Every plan takes 1,500 words in one run, so you do not buy a bigger tier just to stop splitting an essay. And after each rewrite we show our own AI-pattern score before and after, with the reasons behind the number, so you can read what changed in your text. Neither of us can show you a verdict from Turnitin, GPTZero, Originality.ai or Copyleaks, and a number from any tool's built-in checker is that tool's own estimate.

Be clear on one thing we have in common: our payments are also non-refundable except where the law requires. That is why you can run a passage of your own and see our AI-pattern score before and after before you pay us anything. The wider field, priced the same way, is in our best AI humanizer roundup, and the cheapest AI humanizer ranking sorts every tool by cost per thousand words.

Questions buyers ask

AI Undetect pricing, refunds and cancelling

How much does AI Undetect cost?

AI Undetect costs $5, $10 or $20 a month billed yearly for its Basic, Standard and Pro plans, which is $60, $120 or $240 paid up front. Month to month the same plan names cost $15, $25 and $45. Every figure was read in US dollars on aiundetect.com on October 13, 2026.

Is AI Undetect free?

Partly. The site describes itself as freemium and its FAQ gives each registered user 500 words of humanizing and 10 detector checks at no charge. The paste box takes 250 words for a visitor. The mode it advertises hardest, Auto-Perfect, is locked to paid plans, so the free allowance shows you the manual mode only.

Does AI Undetect give refunds?

As a rule, no. Section 6 of its terms opens with "All purchases are non-refundable", and a later section adds that refunds "will not be provided unless required by law". The single exception is a refund of credits, not money, tied to a specific detector result and requested within 30 days.

How do I cancel my AI Undetect subscription?

Log in at aiundetect.com and cancel from your account. The terms say "You can cancel your subscription at any time by logging into your account" and that the cancellation "will take effect at the end of the current paid term". On a yearly plan that means the remaining months stay paid for and are not refunded.

Is AI Undetect legit?

It is a working product with a published price page, a named company (AIundetect LLC) and terms governed by the laws of Idaho. The points to weigh are that those terms were last updated in September 2023, that every purchase is non-refundable, and that the terms do not promise a yearly subscription will run the full year.

Is AI Undetect the same as Undetected AI or Undetectable AI?

No. They are three separate companies with similar names. AI Undetect is at aiundetect.com, Undetectable AI is at undetectable.ai, and this site, Undetected.ai, is at undetected.ai. An account, a subscription or a login from one does not work on the others, so cancel and ask for refunds with the company whose name is on your receipt.

Does AI Undetect have an API?

Yes, as a separate subscription. The API page lists a 30,000-word monthly plan at $15 a month, or $7.50 a month billed yearly. Each request takes 100 to 10,000 characters, and the sample code notes that turning on auto mode deducts double. New API users get two requests at no charge to test with.

What is a good AI Undetect alternative?

It depends on what you are leaving for. If the price is the draw, few tools undercut $5 a month. If you want 1,500 words in one request without buying the middle tier, an allowance that is the same on monthly and yearly billing, and a score that explains what changed, Undetected.ai starts at $24 a month billed yearly for 100,000 words.
